The Goal of Helping People in Freedom Warrior

There are two kinds of people that I work with.

The first is business owners who haven’t achieved financial freedom and any goals they might have had around building income streams outside of their business – despite acquiring multiple properties and having a significant net worth.

The other group are business owners who have done really well and have effectively created a business that is delivering high income, but they’ve been less interested in building wealth outside of the business for various reasons.

For example, maybe they thought they could sell their business for a high ticket price. So, building wealth has fallen to the back burner, and perhaps they’re at a point now where they’re not interested in amassing a traditional investment portfolio that’s going to take three or four decades to get them where they want to go.

My primary objective is to show these people a predictable and safe step-by-step method that can help them reach financial freedom and exit their business in as little as 18 months up to five years.

I’m trying to show people that you don’t have to take crazy risks. You don’t need a $10 million property portfolio. You could have a much smaller capital base.

And if you apply that capital base in the right kinds of investments – ones that will deliver you that sustainable, predictable annuity of income outside of the business – then you effectively give yourself a viable plan B in just a short period of time.

I’m committed to explaining to people what their options are so that they can make better investment decisions themselves. I’m passionate about people being empowered to make decisions instead of abdicating.

Common Frustrations Business Owners Have

If I reflect over the sorts of people that I have been working with over the last 18 years; something that I’ve seen time and time again is that thousands of business owners are pouring millions of dollars of capital from their business into assets, such as properties and shares, in the hopes that they’ll eventually increase their net worth to the level that’s going give them the security that they feel they need to sustain their lifestyle.

Unfortunately, I also witness that the vast majority of people (despite having a high net worth) still find it hard to step away from their businesses because their asset portfolio is delivering subpar cash flow.

For example, in property investment, the typical net return that you can expect on a property where there is no debt at all is somewhere between 2.5% for residential and around 3% to 4% for commercial property.

You need a significant net worth to get a decent level of cash flow.

So, I think the frustration that many business owners have is that they’re doing everything right in the property investing playbook, but they’re no closer to financial freedom.

How Freedom Warrior Was Born

A good starting point to give you context into how the Freedom Warrior was born is to take you back in time.

In 2009, when we had a relatively strong property portfolio, I started to do the math on how long it would take for us to get to a point where we could rely on the income from our property portfolio.

We were at least 25 years away!

So, that’s really what motivated me to start searching for a different way of doing things. I was lucky enough to stumble across the world of alternative investments – particularly in international markets.

By just moving a small amount of my capital into those investments, I found that I was going to generate a strong cash flow return and shave years off my timeline.

What I wanted to do in creating the Freedom Warrior Mastermind is show people that world as well. I think many business owners lose heart when it comes to investing because, even with all of the blood, sweat and tears, they’re just not creating wealth or even making any kind of return that’s meaningful.

So, the ultimate charter of the Freedom Warrior Mastermind is to show people exactly what they need to do if they want to create life-altering, meaningful wealth that is going to allow them to be the architect of how they spend their time, who they influence and whether or not they continue to work in their business.

Who I Am Not

Before I go any further, I want to be clear about who I am not.

I am definitely not a property guru; that’s only about recommending investment deals to pad my pockets in building the Mastermind.

What I did not want to do was create a pitch fest environment.

The trusted advisors and dealmakers that come to the table are the best of the best. I’ve literally spent years looking for people, who are not only great providers of the deal flow, but they’re also at the coalface and have become mentors and advisors to me over the last ten years.

I’m also not a wealth advisor in disguise that gets kickbacks on the products I recommend to you.

I want to be able to put my hand on my heart and say that I’m agnostic about which investments you take on. My goal is to educate and help you better grasp what the world of alternative investments looks like and how to pair that with what we have available here in our local market.

Don’t get me wrong – I am still pro-property. But my argument is that when you can blend the best of what we have here with what’s available in other markets, you can start to see why you can better your results.

Lastly, I am not a financial planner or buyers agent who will charge you $30,000 just to find one deal. And I’m certainly not an educator or an info marketer who will show you how to do it and then leave you floundering to go find the deals yourself.

The whole purpose of building Freedom Warrior is to create a community of like-minded business owners who aren’t happy to settle for retirement at the age of 65 and who want to take control of their financial freedom.
I want people to feel safe. I want them to understand what they’re investing in because that, ultimately, is the number one rule of investing.
